Must Watch Movies on Amazon Prime Video

I spent my Christmas break engulfed in television and I have no shame. My Christmas wish was to spend my days in my jammies and binge watch movie after movie…safe to say I got my wish!

When I go home to my parents’ house, it’s a tradition that we always watch a new movie every night and that is exactly what we did.

This list is what I believe to be the best movies currently on Prime Video. I’ve watched them all and I believe there is something on this list for everyone.

Enjoy!

Can’t say enough great things about this movie. I am a huge fan of Kate Winslet and she was perfectly cast as Tilly in The Dressmaker. This movie is a drama, but kept me laughing and the storyline was interesting and unpredictable, which kept me interested. Add this to your watch list.

This movie far exceeded my expectations. I love a movie with a twist and this movie delivered. I’m not a huge fan of Sci-Fi films, but this is a must watch.

I love history and learning about real people. I have watched many moves and tv shows on Winston Churchill and this movie was definitely one I was happy to add to my list.

Cry me a river! This movie has me in my feels. I’m a HUGE fan of Claire Foy and her role in this movie was played so eloquently. Being a true story, this story touched my heart and kept my interest.

Two words: STACKED CAST! Just take a look at who plays in this movie…Recently, I watched the remade version of this movie, so I was excited to find the original on Prime video. I love a movie where it requires me to think and solve a mystery and ends with a surprising twist.

Another movie with a twist, I see a pattern. I love Glen Close, So I had to watch this movie. It was a little twisted, BUT again, perfectly cast.

Another cry movie that had me in my feels. I won’t give away too much, BUT I will say you will fall in love with this movie and walk away with a full heart.

Okay, I did it…I have been wanting to watch this movie forever, BUT I am not one for blood…AT. ALL. I’m obsessed with musicals, so I had to bite the bullet and just watch it (maybe with my hands over my eyes) but it was great and the music was pretty spot on. Johnny Depp killed it (PUN INTENDED) as always.

I won’t give a single thing away- this movie has to be watched by everyone at lease once.

I read 1984 in high school, so naturally I had to watch the movie. I’m a tough critic and I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this movie, but I loved it and it kept me on my toes.

To reiterate, I love movies based on a true story. I knew of the story of John Gotti, a notorious mobster, and this movie brought the life of organized crime to life. I’m not a fan of John Travolta, but he played this role perfectly.

See the stars? See the two faces in the picture? Let me just emphasize gripping drama. I have watched countless movies reenacting this time period and find each so fascinating. This movie is much watch if you are interested in history.
