Spoiler Alert, God Wins

Not sure if anyone has told you this, but He wins. He always wins and this is what is keeping me going.

Please don’t think I’m morbid, but I just really (REALLY) want to make it to heaven. I think about heaven a lot and imagine what it’s like. Many people I love are there and have been there for some time.

I imagine Heaven to be a place of peace and harmony. I imagine it to feel a lot like that rush of emotions and happiness you feel when you walk into Magic Kingdom for the first time. If you’ve been to Disney World, you know the feeling I’m talking about!

To think of a life that felt like Disney World every day seems unimaginable! To think there is an eternal place that feels this way leaves me speechless and I want to go there when I’m old…like really old maybe 100ish?

I think it’s safe to say we all struggle. I know when I am struggling, I usually ask God why. I know I’m not suppose to, but I will use the excuse that I’m an imperfect human. I usually ask him to show me signs of what to do and He does in his own mystical way.

It’s funny how his plan and my plan always align, but never in the steps I imagine. Do you sometimes feel that way too?

I have always been told that writers never write when they are struggling, so what is Jessica going to do? Write when she is struggling because we all know that rules really aren’t my thing!

I’m not here to make my life look filtered and perfect. I am not here to morph myself into a social media barbie or hide my feelings. I am not here to make things “Look good on the outside to appease others.” Being inauthentic isn’t really my jam.

Truth be told, you don’t want to read the perfectly curated content. You want to read the raw, organic content. You want to read the words that you can relate to. You want to feel like someone on this planet (me) can relate to you and your feelings or a time in your life you may be going through.

I know each and every day I am in desperation of someone, anyone. Hell, if I’m being honest, I’d settle for a hamster if it could relate to me and that is the TRUTH!

If you are in this stage, I’m right here with you. I am sitting on my sofa right now with wet hair with YOU. So, I’m going to imagine you are here with me sitting across from me on my sofa and we are talking over wine.

What I’d be telling you if you were sitting across from me would be just this, “Stop fighting it. Stop fighting Him. Stop fighting His plan for you. Stop allowing Earthly beings and situations to get in your way. You are living out His plan, for you! Isn’t it amazing no that God us a plan perfectly curated for YOU!”

It doesn’t matter what other people think of you. It doesn’t matter what other people say about you. It doesn’t matter what others think you “should do” or “should be doing.”

Do you know what does matter though? Do you know what matters most of all…What God thinks of you. Do you know what also matters, what God will say to you one day when you meet him for the very first time.

Do you know what also really, really matters? What you do and say every day to every person you come across. If you wake up with the intention to do and be good each and every day, He will notice and His attention is all I want and need.

To you who has been in battle, just as I have for quite some time, pull out that white flag and start waving. Why? Spoiler alert, God wins so why don’t you just stop and let Him lead your fight for you?
