Baby Girl Nursery Tour- Modern Chic

There’s really no words to describe just how much of a joy this nursery project has been.

I have tackled boys bedrooms/nurseries like a champion, but when this sweet mom to be asked me to assist her on this project, I was tickled pink…LITERALLY!

When we first began, we didn’t know if baby S was a he or a she, so we stuck to neutral colors for most of the necessities. We knew we would accent with subtle pop of color once Baby S was born.

This mama gave me free reigns to do whatever I wanted in this nursery and I must say the outcome is even better than I expected. When sweet baby S made her arrival in January, I knew she would be my inspiration for this room.

I wanted this space to be something she could grow into. There are sentiments throughout this room that I wanted her to treasure throughout her life and carry with her into adulthood. Out of the endless decor to choose from, the sentimental items are by far my favorite.

I hope you all enjoy sweet Cameron Clare’s nursery tour.

This crib was chosen by Cameron’s parents and purchased from Louis Mohana, along with the changing table and glider. This crib is “built to grow,” so this will be something that this sweet girl will be able to use throughout her life.

The bedding was purchased from Restoration Hardware.

This floating name sign was something I absolutely wanted Cameron to have above her crib. Having her name up in her room will help her learn how to recognize her name, as well as learn how to spell it.

I love being able to use my knowledge about children to create a functional environment, providing esthetically appealing decor to assist in developmental growth.

After diligent research, I found the most perfect company to work with that created this custom sign for Cameron’s nursery.

Kira with WoodSmithSignCompany was a DREAM to work with. She fulfilled every detail I asked for and her prices are GREAT! Name Sign: HERE

Moving onto the changing table. This was also purchased from Louis Mohana Furniture. The dresser is also stained in french toast like the crib. The drawers are SO SPACIOUS! Although this is currently used as a changing table, Cameron will be able to use this as she gets older.

I REALLY loved styling this changing table. From the frameless mirror to the floral arrangement, I can’t get enough of this sweet space filled with so many sweet sentiments.

The mirrorwas purchased from Target. I love the frameless look, but this mirror has many purposes. Although it is esthetically appealing and helps bring balance to this space, at four months old, Cameron has really been able to develop basic skills like self-recognization, making eye contact and recognizing others.

The shelves were purchased from Pottery Barn. Since Cameron’s mom and I both wanted this room to be simple, these shelves were the only place I wanted to display decor. These two shelves are filled with sentimental items. The elephant was purchased by Cameron’s grandparents. The books were for Cameron’s mom, along with the sweet white shoes. Lastly, the floral arrangement was put together by me as an inspiration of color for Cameron’s room.

I fell in love with these baskets when I read the story behind how they were made. The Little Market, is a nonprofit founded by women to empower women. These baskets were handwoven by The Wolof Weavers of Senegal. Read all about their story HERE.

I love these baskets because they have lids. They are the perfect hampers for Cameron’s clothes that need to be washed.

I know one puppy dog that loves this rug just as much as I do. this white shaggy rug is SO SOFT and perfect for a little one who is beginning to crawl. It was the perfect touch to Cameron’s modern chic nursery. Best part of it all- it’s machine washable (winning). Find the rug HERE.

Yesterday, while finishing up the nursery, I was feeding sweet Cameron her bottle in this glider. Guys, I nearly fell asleep. If any of you have a little one that needs rocking, this glider is heaven. I love the high back and the seat cushion is SO. COMFORTABLE.

We accented this room with soft blush tones, which brings some pink to this room in a soft, subtle way. The pillow andthrow were purchased from World Market and the bunny was a gift from Cameron’s grandmother.

I melt each time I look at these sweet newborn pictures of Cameron (picture frames HERE) We chose prints over canvas photos so the pictures are easily interchangeable and cost friendly.

I am in love with her curtain rod! This was purchased from Bed Bath and Beyond along with the curtains.

One of the sweetest sentiments of all, Cameron’s mom’s dress. We shadow boxed it this white linen dress and placed it up in Cameron’s room. The lace detail is some beautiful and is something that Cameron can cherish throughout her life and pass on to her daughter one day. This is probably one of my most favorite things in her room. Find the shadow box HERE.

I hope you enjoyed the nursery tour! Cameron is the luckiest girl in the world and so loved. She is the happiest baby I have ever met and it has been a privilege and honor to create this space for her to grow. Special thank you to the Smith’s for trusting me with this project and welcoming me into their home! You guys are so special to me!

As always,

Stay Gorjess💋✌🏼
