My sweet friend and sorority sister, Amber LeBlanc (Amber LeBlanc Studio), is one talented young woman. I can remember back in our college days Amber was our go-to girl for anything that had to do with design. I was ecstatic when she agreed to be one of my featured artists for the month of April. This girl’s work is extraordinary and it is an honor to feature this sweet girl.

Amber, a native of Thibodaux, says her talent for creating derives from her family. Various members of her family have artistic ability such as painting and ceramics, just to name a few. Amber told me that she shares the same love for many of these techniques.

Amber’s work is unlike anything I have ever seen before. For years, I have watched Amber post her artwork and have been absolutely in awe of everything she creates. From wedding invitations, graphic design, ornaments, jewelry, and commissions, it is evident that Amber is passionate and motivated as it shows throughout every detail of her work.
One thing that makes her artwork stand out to me is the consistent movement and unique textures she creates.
Amber says, “I love experimenting with texture and mixing things together to see how they react with one another.”

This painting in the image below was constructed with sand. Amber says that this painting was a challenge because this was a larger scale canvas and the amount of heavy texture was a bit of challenge. She managed to complete this and the end result is breathtaking and truly phenomenal.
Amber says, “I like to work with different mediums and exploring techniques. I am also inspired by natural elements such as: marble, concrete, sand, and light.”
Just recently this painting sold. Whomever gets to gaze at the painting every day is a lucky person.

Amber told me that she has more recently dove into the world of color. She decided that she wanted to experiment with color and add this in to her new series and collection.
While Amber and I were catching up, she was panting a new series which was a close up image of a peacock feather.

“I work fast. I typically set a time limit for myself for everything I create. I normally don’t work more than a week on one particular painting,” says Amber.

As I sat and watched Amber work on this new piece for her series, she brought this white canvas to life in minutes. It is so fascinating to see her perception and color combination brings this image to life.

Moving along to a larger scale canvas, Amber began working on a commission for a client. I was always curious to see how Amber transformed her work from beginning to end.
Amber says, “many people ask me, ‘how do you know when you are finished?’ and my answer is that I really don’t know until I feel fulfilled by what I created.”

When asking Amber to describe her most rewarding experience working for a client she says, “I would say for every client I’ve had so far has been a rewarding experience. I try to hand deliver my paintings as much as possible because seeing a client’s face brighten up at the first glimpse of my art piece is a feeling like no other.”

Amber’s clientele goes far beyond a canvas. This girl is young woman of many talents.
Amber says, “I mainly design wedding invitation suites (save the dates, invitations, programs, etc), but I also take on branding projects from logo design to stationery. I personally enjoy designing on a computer to getting hands on with paint and clay. It really broadens my creativity.”

Amber’s eclectic and fresh design esthetic remains consistent throughout all of her work. With Amber’s growing clientele, I couldn’t help but ask what her future goals are for her business and brand.
Amber says, “I hope to one day make a living solely from my art and designing. One day, I hope to own an art gallery/shop!” I have no doubts Amber will achieve this with her creativity, drive and motivation.
If you have been looking for new art for your home, need invitations, stationery, new graphic design for your business, etc. Amber is the girl to call! She is so personable and easy to work with. She has one goal and that is to make her clients happy while doing what she loves, creating.
