Braylin Cheramie, owner of Bellamy Beauty Lounge and Shelby Angelette, owner of Rae Boutique, have brought a new concept to my favorite town, Thibodaux. Braylin, a licensed cosmetologist and Shelby a graduate in marketing, both had a dream of owning and operating their own business. Together they developed a “one stop shop”- a clothing boutique and beauty lounge- operating out of the same building. Genius, right?
This idea came about one late night in Baton Rouge. Both girls were ready for a change from city life and decided to relocate to Thibodaux and make their dream a reality.
Shelby says, “everything just fell into place.”
Braylin and Shelby went look at a newly remodeled building on Canal, fell in love with the building and location HERE and the rest is history!
I was so excited when my friend, Braylin, decided to move to Thibodaux. I was extra excited to get my hair and makeup done by her regularly. This has always been Braylin’s dream. As teenagers, she was always the friend with the best hair and makeup! I’m extra proud of her for making her dream a reality and I’m even more excited it’s in my town!
Bellamy Beauty Lounge, is a modern and trendy salon, which makes the experience fun and relaxing! It’s a cool environment where clients become friends and are treated as family.
Braylin says,”I want all of my clients, old and new, to feel at home, relax and enjoy their experience.”
Braylin designed this sweet space all on her own! I love all of the gold tones and geometric details. The light fixtures are my favorite!

Braylin knows I’m pretty subtle when it comes to makeup. I like to look as natural as possible. I came in to her beauty lounge and she transformed my face in no time. Onto hair! Coming in for a quick look, I wanted my hair loosely curled to last the night. As always, Braylin delivered. My hair lasted until the next day (yay for ten extra minutes of sleep)!

Stepping over the threshold into Rae Boutique! I have been knowing Shelby since we were kids. Shelby has always been quite the fashionista keeping up with all of the latest trends. I was so excited when she told me she was coming to Thibodaux to open a boutique. Many of the brands she carries caters to my personal style. I like muted colors and pastels. I like to buy timeless casual pieces that I can dress up or dress down, so I am extra excited to have Rae Boutique five minutes from my house.
I love that Rae is the perfect size for a shopper like me. Of course I like options, but Shelby has the perfect selection of clothes for all occasions.
I am a girl on the go! I have very little time to shop for myself with my very busy schedule. If I need something casual or dressy, I know I can run in and find exactly what I am looking for in little to no time, which is a major plus in my book!
With Rae being in a college town, Shelby provides a variety of black, red and gray clothing to support the Nicholls’ Colonels! How cute is this wine night shirt!? Must have!
After Braylin finished my hair and makeup, I walked over into Rae where Shelby helped me picked out the perfect outfit for my event. She was extra helpful showing me a wide variety of clothing options that she knew I would love!
This dress is my new favorite item in my closet. I saw a picture of it on Rae’s instagram HERE and I fell in love with it. It’s absolutely my style in every way! From the color to causal essence, I had to have this!
Shelby styled me in this chambray off the shoulder dress. It’s casual, but can easily be dressed up (which is another plus for me)! Yay for transitional clothing! Out of the endless options, I left dressed in the periwinkle embroidered dress, my favorite. What I love most about Rae are the affordable prices. This dress was $37! I also left with a loosely fitted denim jacket that I am obsessed with!
